The 2010 Green Cup Presented by Chaos - code name Tahoe

The Chaos Footbag Club is pleased to announce that the 2010 Green Cup Presented by Chaos will be held in beautiful South Lake Tahoe on July 24th and 25th, 2010.

This will, no doubt, be an epic Chaos event.

We elected these dates in order to provide a pre-Worlds tournament that will draw the World’s top talent.  Players will try to improve their world ranking heading into the World Championships, which begin the following weekend in Oakland, California

The location will show off some of the most scenic areas California has to offer; provide for some high altitude training; and allow you to relax and prepare for 2010’s biggest event.

EVENTS OFFERED
We will be offering Open Doubles Net, Women’s Doubles Net, Open Singles Net, and Women’s Singles Net. Note that events will require 4 players/teams to pre-register or they will be canceled.

SCORING FORMAT
Rally scoring will be used throughout the event in an effort to minimize the wear and tear on competitors prior to the WFC.

LODGING
The Chaos Footbag Club is organizing lodging for this event. We will rent 2-3 large houses for players to stay at. These houses will be fully furnished, comfortable, and a great way to enjoy your time in Tahoe. There will be varying price options depending on your budget (inexpensive to sleep on the floor, a little more for a couch, a little more for a shared bedroom, and even more for the master suite). Please let us know on the pre-registration form if you will require lodging. If so, we will follow up with you regarding the specifics and your budget. Housing will be available from Friday, July 23rd through Wednesday, July 28th. This is an event that you should feel comfortable bringing your friends, fans, and significant others to. There will be plenty of room available and good times to be had hiking, biking, swimming, gambling, boating barbequeing, and otherwise enjoying yourself.

TRANSPORTATION
The Chaos Footbag Club is organizing transportation options for this event. We will rent a few cars/vans to transport players from the Bay Area to Tahoe and back. Alternatively there is a train and buses from Oakland - we will pass along additional information once players pre-register. Please let us know on the pre-registration form if you will require transportation. If so, we will follow up with you regarding the specifics.
